Topcem ia a special fast setting hydraulic binder for the preparation of normal setting and fast drying (4 days) screeds with controlled shrinkage.
Applications:
Formation of floating and bonding screeds on existing and new slabs for the installation of wood, ceramic tiles, natural stone or any other flooring where fast drying is required for short installation times. Suitable for interior and exterior use. Topcem, mixed with graded aggregates and water, hardens within 24 hours and is completely dry within 4 days. Bonding screeds and patching (less than 35mm thickness) first require the application of a Topcem and Planicrete anchoring slurry. For floating screeds (thickness above 35mm) lay a polythene sheet beforehand.
Recommended mixture ratio: 200-250kg of Topcem with 1m aggregates (0 to 8mm diameter) and with 120-140kg of water for dry aggregates.
Open time for the mixture: 40-60 minutes.
Set to light foot traffic: After 12 hours.
Waiting time before installation: 24 hours for ceramic tiles and 2 days for natural stone.
Residual moisture after 4 days: Less than 2%.
Storage: 12 months.
Consumption: 2-2.5kg/m per cm of thickness.
Packaging: 20kg bags.
